1. transparent teflon tube price?
There are two types of transparent Teflon tubes. FEP (polyfluoro ethylene propylene), PTFE (soluble polyfluoro ethylene propylene). Attention, there are several kinds of materials for these two kinds of pipes. New materials, imported materials and sub-brand materials are different. The prices of transparent Teflon pipes are also different. You get what you pay for. If the price difference between the three is too large, you should remember to know what raw materials it is.
First of all, I 'd like to introduce FEP (polyethylene glycol propylene) transparent Teflon tube.
Perfluoroethylene propylene tube, also known as FEP
Introduction to common features:
Use temperature:-200 degrees to 200 degrees
Easy processing: can flanging, soluble, can be sealed, can be welded
Aging resistance: can be exposed to ozone and sunlight for a long time without aging
High transparency: low refractive index in all plastics, can be very intuitive to see the flow of the medium in the tube
Corrosion resistance: Can withstand all strong acids, strong oxidants, strong reducing agents and various organic solvents except molten alkali metals, fluorinated media and those above 300 °.
As we all know, the two best-selling fluoroplastic tubes on the market are PTFE and polytetrafluoroethylene.
Polytetrafluoroethylene ethylene propylene has excellent electrical insulation and chemical stability similar to PTFE, hardness and tensile strength than PTFE slightly improved, and the public welfare greatly improved. The crystalline phase melting temperature (280 ℃) is about 50 ℃ lower than that of PTFE, but it can still be used for a long time in the temperature range of -85 ℃ ~ 204 ℃, and it has better cold flow resistance than PTFE at room temperature, but the friction coefficient is slightly lower.
Poly (fluorine ethylene propylene) that is similar to the valuable characteristics of PTFE, but also has excellent processing properties of thermoplastics, so that it can replace F-4 materials in some ways, widely used.

How to weld 2. PTFE tubes
Most of the tetrafluoro tubes on the market now cannot be welded, because the welding technology of tetrafluoro tubes is less, and the goods are rare and expensive. Most of the welding will choose FEP polytetrafluoroethylene propylene, FEP welding technology is more mature and more common. shenzhen dankai also recommend everyone welding using FEP more convenient.
Here to introduce how to weld the PTFE tube
There are three welding methods for hot air welding of PTFE tubes: lap welding, butt welding and reinforced butt welding. The joint form is selected according to the strength and process requirements of the butt welding parts. If butt welding or reinforced butt welding head needs to be beveled, the beveling is generally "V" and "X", and the welding method is similar to PVC welding.
In the hot air welding method is important in the choice of electrode, due to the PTFE itself adhesion force is small, not easy to be wetted, must choose good meltability and melt fluidity, can effectively wet PTFE electrode. The meltable PTFE brand Teflon PFA just meets the requirements of this process. It not only has good weldability, but also has good strength resistance characteristics after welding.
The welding process is as follows:
(1) Wash the surface to be glued with acetone or ethanol solution and dry it before welding;
(2) If butt welding or reinforced butt welding is used, the welding surface of the workpiece shall be treated with groove, generally "V" or "X" groove;
(3) Select the meltable PTFE electrode with Teflon PFA, which has the characteristics of good meltability and melt fluidity, and can effectively wet the PTFE surface;
(4) When transporting the welding rod, the welding rod is perpendicular to the welding surface of the workpiece and contacts it, and the welding torch is 45. The corner is close to the weldment, keeping a distance of 5~10mm from the welding surface, moving speed of 60~80 mm/min, and welding wind pressure of 0.098 ~ 0.294MPa;
(5) with inert gas as medium heated to 420~480 ℃, so that the PTFE welding surface melting, welding together at the same time, to be cooled after the weld mechanical processing to the required extent.
