1. FEP full name is Fluorinated ethylene propylene, translated as fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer (perfluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer) English trade name: Teflon * FEP, is a class of chemical substances.
FEP is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. The FEP crystals had a melting point of 304 ° C. and a density of 2.15g/cc.
FEP can be applied to soft plastics, the tensile strength, wear resistance, creep resistance is lower than many engineering plastics. It is chemically inert and has a low dielectric constant over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
FEP film does not ignite, can prevent the spread of flame. It has excellent wear resistance and low friction coefficient, which can be used from low temperature to 392F.
The material can be made into granular products for extrusion and molding, as powders for fluidized beds and electrostatic finishes, and also into aqueous dispersions. Semi-finished products are tubes, films, plates, rods and single fibers.
Its main use is for the production of pipe and chemical equipment lining, drum surface and a variety of wires and cables, such as aircraft hook line, pressurized cable, alarm cable, flat cable and oil well logging cable. FEP films have been used as thin coatings for solar collectors.

F-46 resin has both the characteristics similar to polytetrafluoroethylene and the good processability of thermoplastics. Therefore, it makes up for the lack of processing difficulties of PTFE, making it a material to replace PTFE. In the production of wire and cable, it is widely used in electronic equipment transmission wires used at high temperature and high frequency, electronic computer internal connection wires, aerospace wires and special purpose installation wires, oil pump cables and submersible motor winding wires.

Acid and alkali resistance, insoluble in strong acid, strong alkali and organic solvents (including magic acid, fluorine antimony sulfonic acid). Oxidation resistance-corrosion by strong oxidants. Excellent insulation performance, it is an ideal C- class insulation material, a thick layer of newspaper can block the high voltage of 1500V. Its electrical insulation is not affected by temperature. The broadband dielectric constant and dielectric loss are very low, and the breakdown voltage, bulk resistivity and arc resistance are very high.
Teflon sticks are smoother than ice. Non-adhesion is the smallest surface tension in a solid material and does not adhere to any substance. Without any toxicity-physiological inertia, such as long-term implantation of artificial blood vessels and organs in the body, no adverse reactions. Aging resistance-radiation resistance and low penetration: long-term exposure to the atmosphere, the surface and performance remain unchanged. Non-flammability-oxygen restriction index less than 90.
