Analysis of 1. PTFE Production Process
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), also known as F-4, is one of the most ideal materials for corrosion resistance in the world at this stage, commonly known as "plastic king". The material is generally divided into two categories, respectively, suspended polytetrafluoroethylene and dispersed polytetrafluoroethylene.
The upstream raw material of PTFE industry chain is fluorite. Fluorite powder reacts with concentrated sulfuric acid in a converter. After washing, condensing and rectifying, the generated furnace gas passes through a degassing tower to remove light components to produce anhydrous hydrogen fluoride. Anhydrous hydrogen fluoride and chloroform react under the action of a catalyst. The reactant is separated, washed and rectified to obtain refined chlorodifluoromethane (refrigerant R22). R22 is diluted and cracked by water vapor, generation of cracked gas containing tetrafluoroethylene monomer and a small amount of perfluoropropylene, trace fluorine-containing high boilers, hydrogen chloride, etc,
After removing hydrogen chloride through cooling, water washing and alkali washing, the cracking gas enters the degassing tower after repeated dehydration, compression and drying, wherein the bottom material enters the tetrafluoroethylene rectifying tower to complete the detection and collection of tetrafluoroethylene monomer. The high-purity tetrafluoroethylene monomer obtained by refining is vaporized into a polymerization reactor, supplemented by the addition of perfluorooctanoic acid and the like as an activator to synthesize a high molecular weight tetrafluoroethylene resin.

With the advent of the "5G" era, the market demand for high-performance polytetrafluoroethylene is increasing. Due to its special molecular structure, it can resist almost all strong acids, strong bases and organic solvents, and has good low dielectric properties and low loss factors. Judging from the distribution of downstream demand, petrochemical industry accounts for 33%, machinery industry accounts for 24%, and electronics and electricity account for 12%, light industry and textiles accounted for 16%, construction and aerospace accounted for 4% and 2% respectively, and other industries accounted for 9%.

Analysis of the current market situation of China's PTFE industry in 2.
At present, the fluoropolymers that have been industrialized mainly include PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), FEP (perfluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), PVF (polyvinyl fluoride) and FKM (fluorine rubber). PTFE series is the most important fluoropolymer, accounting for more than half of all fluoropolymer production and sales.

In recent years, my country has developed rapidly in the field of PTFE. The output has increased from 53100 tons in 2011 to 91000 tons in 2019, with an average annual compound growth rate of 6%, and the production capacity accounts for about 40% of the world.

In recent years, with the rapid development of 5G base stations, the application of PTFE in copper clad laminate, coaxial cable, energy saving and environmental protection has been expanding. Further driving the market demand for PTFE, according to statistics, as of 2019, China's PTFE consumption of 76300 tons, an increase of 13.7.

In 2019, China's PTFE imports are about 6800 tons, most of which are high-end PTFE modified products to meet the needs of downstream industries. China's PTFE has a structural overcapacity phenomenon, injection molding grade low-end products serious surplus, low capacity utilization rate, and high compression ratio of PTFE dispersed resin as the representative of the high-end varieties are still dependent on imports, the average import price maintained at more than $10000/ton. At present, the price of domestic PTFE low-end products is about 40000 yuan/ton, the price of mid-end products is 4~60000 yuan/ton, and the price of high-end products is above 60000 yuan/ton.

At present, China has become the main producer and supplier of PTFE in the world. Since 2010, the export volume level has been maintained at about 20000 tons/year. In 2019, China exported a total of 21000 tons of PTFE, accounting for 25.6 of the total output, mainly in the low-end products of injection molding grade. In 2019, the average export price of PTFE in China is 8549 USD/ton.

Analysis on Competition Pattern of Chinese PTFE Industry in 3.
In 2019, there were 12 domestic PTFE manufacturers with a total production capacity of about 140000 tons/year. From the distribution point of view, China's PTFE production capacity is relatively concentrated, Haohua Group and Dongyue Group together account for 48% of the total domestic production capacity, production capacity of more than 10000 tons of enterprises a total of 6, accounting for about 83% of the total production capacity.

4. China PTFE Industry Development Trend
PTFE products are a kind of important polymer products, and their applications involve many fields of military industry and civil use, and have good development prospects. At present, my country has basically occupied the market in terms of low-end products such as PTFE plates, pipes, gaskets and sealing tapes, but there is still a big gap between high-end products and western developed countries, such as e-PTFE artificial blood vessels, medical sutures and There are no industrialized products such as heart patches in my country. The products used mainly rely on imports and are expensive. Therefore, the further study of the relationship between the structure and performance of PTFE products, the optimization of product processing technology, the development of high-end products with excellent performance, and the exploration of new applications are still the direction of future efforts.
At present, the synthesis process of foreign PTFE resin has reached a high level, but there is still a big gap in the field of high-end resin in China. As a result, the domestic production of high-performance PTFE materials can only import foreign PTFE resin through high prices, especially in the production of unconventional application materials in military, aerospace and medical fields. Therefore, it is recommended that the government encourage domestic PTFE resin synthesis companies to develop high-performance PTFE resins through policy tilt or special policy funding to solve the current domestic card neck problem and meet the needs of high-end fields such as military industry, environmental protection and medical care.
