The nominal diameter and nominal pressure of PTFE gasket are matching parameters. Nominal diameter (GB/T1047) is the two basic parameters of pipeline accessories, it is not a practical structure
Size, but only a nominal size after rounding closely related to the manufacturing size, is marked by an appropriate number immediately after the code "DN. Gasket
The nominal diameter shall be the same as that specified for the flange. Nominal pressure (GB/T1048) refers to the design given pressure related to the mechanical strength of pipeline components (such as flanges, pipe fittings, etc.)
The nominal value after rounding is marked by the code "PN" followed by an appropriate number. The nominal gasket pressure is also the same as that specified for the flange.
Flat gaskets made of non-metallic materials occupy a large position in the gasket variety. According to the basic components (matrix) that constitute the non-metallic gasket material, it can be divided into the following seven categories:
A. plant quality: such as paper, cotton, cork, etc;
B. Animal quality: such as leather, wool felt, etc;
e. Minerals: such as asbestos, glass, ceramics and other fibers;
D. rubber: such as natural rubber (NR) and various synthetic rubber, such as nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, fluorine rubber, silicone plate, etc;
e. Synthetic resin: such as pure polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, filled polytetrafluoroethylene, etc;
F. graphite: such as flexible graphite, carbon fiber and graphite fiber;
g. Short fiber reinforced elastomer (rubber, plastic): such as asbestos, mineral wool and other inorganic fibers, organic fibers, carbon or graphite fiber reinforced elastomer.

According to the current industry commonly used gasket (plate) varieties, can be divided into the following six:
a. Rubber gasket (elastomer plate);
B. Asbestos rubber gaskets;
c. Non-asbestos fiber rubber gaskets;
d. PTFE gasket: including pure PTFE, filled PTFE or expanded PTFE gasket;
e. PTFE coated gasket: including PTFE coated rubber or asbestos rubber or non-asbestos fiber rubber gasket;
f. Pure flexible graphite gasket.
Standard non-metallic soft gaskets and PTFE coated asbestos rubber gaskets.
Non-metallic soft gaskets refer to gaskets made of non-metallic sealing materials. Non-metallic materials include asbestos rubber sealing plate, PTFE, rubber, etc. Out again in recent years.
The non-asbestos fiber rubber sealing plate is used as the gasket material. In terms of non-metallic soft gaskets for pipe flanges, the amount of asbestos rubber sheet gaskets accounts for the majority. Asbestos rubber seal
Board, referred to as CAF(Compressed asbestos fiber). Because its main component asbestos fiber is harmful to the human body, and the asbestos dust in the production process will also be
Pollution to the environment leads to toxicity to the human body, so foreign developed countries have banned the production and use of asbestos products since the 1980 s. With the economic construction of our country
Development and progress, the importance of environmental protection and the safety of people's lives, the production and use of asbestos products are strictly controlled.
PTFE gasket is generally used in corrosive media conditions; and rubber made of pipe flange gasket is suitable for flange bolt preload smaller occasions, such as: glass pipe method
Ram or other low-strength pipe flanges, so that under a small bolt preload, the gasket can still produce a large compression deformation to close to the flange. Rubber gaskets can only be used in lower media
Pressure and temperature are not too high conditions of use.
